Dr. Robert Davis was born in Joliet, Illinois. Within his first year, his family moved to Richland, Washington. At the age of 8 his family moved to Aiken, South Carolina. After high school in Aiken, Dr. Davis attended Duke University on an athletic scholarship, completing his pre-med requirements with a major in chemistry with a minor in English. He then attended the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and completed his Internal Medicine training at the Medical College of Georgia.

Dr. Davis volunteered for the Air Force during the Viet Nam conflict and as a Medical Officer was assigned to duty in a the Tactical Air Command Base at Bergstrom Air Force Base outside of Austin, Texas. Following that duty and finding Texas a welcome and challenging environment, he accepted a Gastroenterology Fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in the Medical Center in Houston.

After completion of the Fellowship, Dr. Davis has remained on the Baylor College of Medicine faculty, first as a full time Instructor, and now as a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in Gastroenterology. Since 1977, Dr. Davis has contributed his time at Ben Taub Hospital in the teaching of the Fellows in Gastroenterology at Baylor and since 1979 to the teaching of the Family Practice Residents in the program of Family Practice at Memorial Herman Southwest Hospital.

Dr. Davis has been certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the American Board of Gastroenterology. Dr. Davis is a member of numerous medical societies, including the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, American Gastroenterological Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Texas Medical Association, The American Liver Foundation, Ileitis/Colitis Foundation Harris County Medical Advisory Board, and the Harris County Medical Society. Dr. Davis has served as President of the Harris County Gastroenterological Association (now the Texas Gulfcoast GE Society), and as President of the Texas Society for Gastroenterology and Endoscopy.

Dr. Davis is a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and of the American College of Physicians. He has been honored to be listed in THE BEST DOCTORS IN AMERICA: CENTRAL REGION 1996-1997; HOUSTON'S TOP DOCTORS 1998; THE BEST DOCTORS IN AMERICA: 1998; 2001-2002; and in CONSUMERS' RESEARCH COUNCIL AMERICA'S TOP PHYSICIANS 2003.

Dr. Fiman attended college and medical school at Boston University, graduating from with honors in 1986. He was elected to membership in both Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Societies. He then decided to leave the cold weather behind, and moved to Texas for the remainder of his training. His completed his internship, Internal Medicine residency, and three-year Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He has been board-certified in Internal Medicine since 1989, and became board-certified in Gastroenterology in 1993. He has maintained his certification continuously since 1993, obtaining a ten-year recertification in 2003.

Dr. Fiman served in the United States Naval Reserve from 1983 to 1992, and then was on active duty status in the Navy from 1992 to 1995, when he served as the Chief of Gastroenterology at Naval Hospital, Jacksonville, Florida. During this time, he was also an instructor in the Gastroenterology section of the University of Florida Medical School, Jacksonville campus.

Since 1992, Dr. Fiman has been in private practice in Gastroenterology in the Houston and Sugar Land areas. He is also a Clinical Instructor in Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine. He has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, and is the 2004 President of the Texas Gulf Coast Gastroenterological Society. Dr. Fiman's interests in Gastroenterology include colon cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diseases of the bile ducts and gall bladder, and endoscopy.

Dr. Fiman feels that patient education is one of his most important jobs, and believes strongly that open and frank discussion with his patients is the best way to ensure that they receive the high-quality care that they deserve.

Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Fiman spends his time enjoying travel, sports, music, and reading.

Dr. Raghuthaman received his medical degree in 1967 from Madras Medical College in Chennai, India. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Raghuthaman worked as an Assistant in Medicine in the Madras Medical Service. He then moved to Birmingham, England where he served as a Senior House Officer at East Birmingham Hospital. Dr. Raghuthaman then went on to Wakefield where he continued his role as a Senior House Officer in Neurology and Internal Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at the Northeastern Ohio School of Medicine in Youngstown, Ohio. He completed a two year teaching and research fellowship at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, which consisted of a year at Memorial Hermann Hospital and a year at the MD Anderson Cancer Research Institute.

Since 1978, Dr. Raghuthaman has been in private practice in Gastroenterology in the Houston. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in Medicine at the Baylor College of Medicine.

Dr. Raghuthaman has served on numerous committees at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital. In 1988, he was the director of Quality Review for the GI Section and in 1989 served as a member of the Board of Directors and Utilization Review of the Memorial Physicians of Houston. He also served as the chairman of the Credentials Committee. From 1995-1999, Dr. Raghuthaman served as Secretary, Treasurer, Chief-of-Staff Elect and served as the Chief of Joint Quality Review at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital. The following year, Dr. Raghuthaman served as Chief-of-Staff at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.

Dr. Raghuthaman's interests in Gastroenterology include diagnosis of colon cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diseases of the bile ducts and gall bladder. Dr. Raghuthaman believes that patients should be actively involved in the healing process.
